We are publishers of beautifully bound books for schools. We offer the opportunity to have a hymn book, leavers’ book, school companion, fundraising book or indeed a full school history designed and produced to your specifications.

Whether you are considering a hymn book, leavers’ book, school companion, recipe book or school history the choice of content is yours (as long as permission can be obtained for printing anything that is the work of another). An important point to consider when making your choice is the likely cost. Naturally the size of your book will have a bearing on cost and the amount of material included that is subject to copyright fees, but more importantly you will want a book which reflects the ethos and values of the school and which will be treasured by the whole school community for many years to come.

The different sections of this website include guide prices for the various products we have available. The guide prices are there to help give you an idea of possible cost, however, please contact us for a more accurate estimate. It is helpful if you have a planned budget for your book so that we can help you tailor your book accordingly. A final quote will be given once we have all your material and all decisions have been made.

A good question! We do require a £200 deposit to secure your booking. We would send an interim invoice for the typesetting costs with the balance invoiced upon delivery.

A lot depends on your choice of hymns, as many traditional ones are out of copyright and are thus free, but as a rough guide we suggest you allow 20% on top of the overall cost of your books to cover copyright fees. Again, once we have all your material we can give a more accurate figure. The 20% allows you to budget and helps avoid any nasty surprises.

To be cost effective, the minimum order for a fully bespoke book is normally 500 books but if you require a different quantity please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss other options.

A few years ago Gresham developed the Gresham Junior Hymnal, which is a pre-set book of 120 of the most popular hymns selected by preparatory schools. This means that we can print as few as 100 of these books, making it ideal for smaller schools. It is available in words-only and melody editions, we are also able to offer a full music accompanist’s edition at only £34.99 (+ p&p) a copy.

Yes, you can include your own introduction and have the cover blocked with your school name and crest. You also have a wide choice of covering materials in many different colours, some of which will add slightly to the unit cost, but only because they are high quality and hardwearing.

Of course; being bespoke means that we can put together any chosen material into a bound book.

The chances are yes, you can. We have a vast range of different covering materials, all available in a wide choice of colours, and therefore it should be possible to very closely match your school colour.

Yes, you can. The minimum order for music folders is ten folders and delivery is usually within 3 weeks of ordering.

Of course, we will happily send you a sample of an appropriate book or folder so that you can show colleagues and to help you consider style and format.

As a general rule we would say order enough for a further 3-5 years of new intakes.

The first thing to do is contact us either through this website or by email or by telephone and we will take you through each stage of producing your school book. Once you feel you are ready to say yes, we will ask you to sign an order and to place a deposit of £200 to secure your booking.

Depending on the size and format of your book, we would expect to take 4–6 months from confirmation of your order to delivery.

Yes you can. We can help you decide what sort of leavers’ book you would like. We have a number of sample books we can send you to give you some ideas. The important thing is to give a book that is appropriate for your school and that means you choose exactly what you want.

This is a book for new students, to be given when they arrive or some point before they arrive. The book may contain a potted history of the school, some words of wisdom from old pupils and perhaps words of encouragement from the Head teacher. The content is wholly up to the school.

Yes, many schools have offered the opportunity to parents to buy their child’s book so that they can keep it into their future. Some schools have approached their alumni for possible dedication donations.

We also offer the chance to produce a book specifically for fundraising. E.g. a recipe book contributed to by pupils staff etc and sold at fetes, or as Christmas presents or indeed to the contributors.
